Introducing the I-Pi OT2ITADLINK’s OT2IT brings the ease of using the Arduino ecosystem into industrial automation. Providing a bridge between OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Informational Technology), hence the name OT2IT, developers can utilize Arduino software/hardware to swiftly start their prototyping work without the need for difficult porting. This shortens their time-to-market while reducing costs significantly. The OT2IT features a rugged alternative that is industry ready, either standalone or combined with a host computer, attached to a DIN rail. The OT functionality offers digital inputs, digital outputs for solenoids/transistors, analog inputs (current/voltage), PWM outputs, true analog outputs, RTD inputs, sensors, and 24V DC power input. You can easily install your board right out of the Arduino board manager using Arduino IDE, with host computer communication with supported through Serial over USB or 100BASE-TX LAN over the Firmata protocol. Using the Firmata protocol, users can monitor, control, and manage industrial processes. It enables the offloading of non-real-time processes to a host computer, giving the resource-constrained MCU some breathing room to focus on time-sensitive tasks, as well as making the collection of real-time data trivially easy.
